Door glass

Does anyone know if station wagon rollup side glass can be cut at a local shop from flat glass, or does it have any shape to it? Additionally, anyone know of any heated windscreen suppliers that are cheaper than $500 bones?

Mark,

The only heated windscreen option I know of, other than OE, is this place:

Although I had a really difficult time communicating with them, and gave up. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did. I'm about ready to break down and go OE

I actually called them. I was waiting on a shipping quote from them. they never got back to me. I know rover's north has them as well. There the 3 wire version ($600ish), and the 2 wire version ($500). 2 wire is cheaper

Well, at least they're consistent - they treat everyone like crap.

I wonder what the difference is with the 3-wire version. Heaters split into 3 zones rather than 2, maybe?

I just looked in the RN catalog, and I only see one heated windscreen: RNC927 for $659. Where did you find the one for $500? Unfortunately that may be the best deal. Might also want to check with George at RDS.
