door frame swap

I am going to swap my door frames and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. It looks simple enough, just peel back the folded edge on the panel/skin and insert the new frame. Any advice on tools to accomplish this? Do they need to be anealed? Anyone used Wise Owls frames?

Thanks,

Keith

I think you'll need new skins, some people have done this, but I dont know if anyone was able to salvage the old skins.

The bottoms of my frames had rusted out. I cut out the rusted portion and replaced it with 1" angle iron welded in it's place.

if you hold your lips just right when removing the skins they are very re-useable. I do this frequently when galvanizing the door frames. Even roll up window and rear doors.
