Door Check hardware

Hi There,

After having the bulkhead galvanized as part of restoration I'm still chasing thread sizes for various assemblies so that I can re-tap threads before trying to assemble parts.

Does anyone happen to know the thread size of the nut inserts in the bulkhead that the door check bolts into? Basically, I need the bolt size that fastens the door check (door stop) to the bulkhead.

I attached a drawing of the assembly to this post (thanks microcat), but cant tell if it actually attached or not. Anyway, if it did, I need to know the thread size of item 12 in the door check assembly.

Regards,
Mark

I don't see an attachment, but if we're talking about attaching the bracket to the bulkhead, the inserts are M6. Sometimes you have to chase out extra galv with a drill before tapping, but I guess you've found that out already...

Door check hardware

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, we're talking about the bracket that bolts to the bulkhead that holds the door check arm. My guess was M6 for the fastner bolts.

Do you happen to know thread pitch size for this M6 bolt? Just want to be sure before I go tapping the holes.

Thanks, Mark

Which is the "normal" thread pitch for the M6 fasteners found all over the Rover.

Door Check hardware

Thanks Jim and Ash.

Confirming here for anyone else that the welded nuts in the bulkhead for the door check hardware are indeed M6 1.0 pitch.

Great resource D 90 Source is!

Regards, Mark
