DIY Stainless Kits

I've had a few more inquiries on stainless steel bolt kits for the NAS D-90, but I'm not going to have a chance to put any kits together any time soon.

Instead, I'm just posting these files which list the size, quantities, and the McMaster-Carr part numbers required for a bunch of locations inside and outside the truck.

You'll see that it only costs about 90 bucks for all the fasteners - if you could buy them all in the quantities you need. Instead you have to get them bulk and split them out. It works great if several people want to get together for a group-buy or if you just dont mind having lots of spares.

Note there are two tabs on the spreadsheet - one for the exterior and one for the interior.

I'll be happy to answer any questions but my days of stuffing screws in bags is done!

I've gone further on my truck than the kit indicates. A package of M6x20 and M8x25 stainless bolts with replace a lot of fasteners around the chassis and engine compartment.

The kit was intended to replace the fasteners on the exterior and interior that rust out the worst and look bad.

I never replace graded high-strength fasteners for safety reasons, thats why there are no roll-cage fasteners in the kit.

Anybody thinking of putting one of these together?

I sure could use an interior SS kit if someone is putting one together!

Josh, where in Colorado are you? Perhaps we could find someone else and go in on a set together.

I know that this thread is older, but I just stumbled upon this and I was going to place an order locally. Are there any additions that someone can think of? Thanks

What paste do you guys recommend for stainless exterior bolt kits? I see the Nakatanenga kits come with anti-seize. Is that all I should use? Trying to prevent our friend corrosion.
