Discovery wheels

While poking around the local junkyard, I noticed the Discovery I's had steel full-size spare wheels. Aesthetically, they're meh but if they can be had cheap ($20 each with tires?), can a full set be used on the D90? Are they designed for full time use? Anyone try it? Or better to hold for a good set of used NATO rims in the Parts for Sale section of this board?

I have done several thousand kilometres off-road on mine, not an issue. You may find they are thick and could use longer wheel studs. I haven't heard of any issues running them as is.

I believe they were stock wheels on the most basic model D1 in the UK, not just spares.

All the UK police vehicles use to run only the steel wheels being stronger than the alloys
