Disco vs D110 LT230 Linkage

Is there a different linkage setup between the D1 transfer case and the Defender?

I just picked up an engine/auto trans/xfer that lived in a D1. I plan on finding an auto console (probably order from Ashcroft if still available), so my question is: will the xfer shift linkage line up with the auto console's hole? Or is it a different linkage?

Thanks,

PS: anyone have any leads on a us auto console?

Linkage is transmission specific, but most can work with each other.

Off topic, but are you by chance getting rid of a 1.4 lt230? If so... Want!

Brewie, is the location always the same just a change in linkage design? It may already line up without issue? It's the D1 auto box.

Matthew, I have a disco transfer in my truck currently, is that what you are looking for?

only thing that is different is the CDL linkage, and they should be the same for autos.

Shifter is located behind the diff lock shifter.
So you might need this one: Ashcroft Transmissions
