Disassembling speedo

I thought I'd take apart the speedo to check the fit of the internal connector as I sometimes get the odometer LCD blanking out.

Unscrewed the three screws in the rear but the damn thing is still in one piece. Looks like I have to screw out the front lens but the trip knob may be in the way.

Any tip?
