Question digital odometer reset

Does anybody know if/how a later model speedo with the digital odometer can be reset to zero? I have a late model (97 style) in my 110, and the odometer reads about double the actual miles of my vehicle.

I don't, but I've often wondered if someone good with circuits could see if it's possible to run a positive jumper to the back of it somewhere and add miles until it turned over to zero. It has to be something that can be done. If I had an extra, I'd give it a shot.

Isn't this thread about commiting a felony in some states?

Neil

PS: I don't care if it was, I'd do it if I had to accurately relfect the mileage on my truck as well.

I had it done on a 1989 lebaron with 1,800 miles. the car had a fire and the dash was toast. I bought a used digital dash with 50 k miles. I took it to a shop that specializes in dash repair. They reset the miles to 1,800 for $50.
