Difference between TDi R380 and V8 R380?

Is there a difference? I am guessing it is the clutch housing / input shaft length? If so - which setup is the longer one?

Tdi 380 has the longer input shaft. And yes, of course, the bellhousing in different.

I was still hoping we could work that in with the Yeastie sell-back plan.

Is this true for both the Defender and discovery R380's? It is the discovery difference I'm more interested in.

Not only does the Tdi differ from the V8 the Disco and the Defender version of the Tdi differ from each other in both the gearing, internal makeup and location of the shifter. If you have a Disco /RRC you need the Disco Tdi tranny....and for the Defender you'll need it's version.

new expansion complete. Not only are we the only Rover shop in Eliot Maine...now we're also the biggest.
