Diesel combo

What is the preferred diesel combo one would look for? Specifically, engine and transmission type.

Thanks, VB

Depends upon who you're asking.

200/300tdi, R380, LT230 1.2 is popular, but I'm partial to a 4BD1T, MSA5G, LT230 1.003.

If you are talking Land Rover motors then the combo might be the 300 Tdi with the R380 lt230, but a lot of the guys like the 200 Tdi. If you want a little more modern engine, non Land Rover, some have the 2.8 international motor. (better turbo)
