What does that mean?

There is also a list of the codes in the FAQ section of this website, on the computer page.

The page you linked has the basic concepts of the codes, but not in the greatest detail. 17, 18 and 19 have very different criteria to light up and not always the TPS sensor.

I searched D90 before I posted my question. I found many on diagnostics but not 48 specific.

I will search the FAQ's pages.

Code 48 is the vague "stepper motor" code, though it usually means the idle speed is too high or low.
