Defender parking brake upgrade question

I have read in a UK forum I believe somewhere about a common upgrade for Defender parking brake to DII parking brakes. What's that all about? After Dendy's near disaster, got me thinking. Being in Iraq, I have a lot of time to think.

I think it is just the cable. Someone did it here. I used a DII parking brake cable for my LT230 swap. I think it just has more heat shielding.

Do you mean the disk brake conversion? the DII has more or less the same setup as the earlier rovers (drum brake), but the X-Eng disc brake conversion could be what you're after.

I've got one on my 110, excellent piece of kit. yeah, possible to make one up yourself, but it's cheap enough not to bother with the hassle!

I installed a D2 brake on the 110 when I did the transfercase swap -- difference is really in the cable as the cable (as well as the brake) is adjustable. You'll need to swap over the brake assembly to do so.
