Defender on CL seems cheap to me.

Does this seem right? Looks like a good buy for a Defender.

For a 90 in that condition, it's overpriced at best. Looks like a $8,500 truck.

You're right. Those seats are unmistakable.

I'll bump the other thread and see if he chimes in.

How is it over priced. I paid $9500 for mine plus i think $800 in shipping for an 88 with a rotted cross member, 2.5TD, shot seats and some other issues....and at the time everyone said my truck was a a GREAT deal (exactly 1 yr ago)

This is essentially the same truck but with a solid frame, 200tdi... yet its over priced? Only difference being the paint condition. Take the 200tdi (worth 3-4K), a solid frame (cost me $1k to replace the rear cross), and your looking at a 13-14k truck EASY!..

Anyways - The truck is in great mechanical condition, drives nicely. The frame is solid as it says, the paint is beat up as you can see. Yes the seller is my BIL, as mentioned in the MISC thread he'll be at NELRC Pines event next weekend if anyone wants to talk to him about it, or give me a shout (or just call the number on the ad lol)

I think the price is very very reasonable

I said overpriced because at $12k it looks like the body has quite a few bumps and attempts at re-straightening, the seats look gross, the paint is flaking and/or faded all over (good polishing may be in order), and it's an imported 90 - the 90s just never seem to demand as much. Yours was a steal because it is black and I'm partial to that color.

Yes we all know ROW/Imported trucks dont get the same $ as NAS trucks, thats why this truck isn't listed for $25k. If the body panels were perfect on this, it would be a 15-16k truck easy. I think for less than a $1k you could get this looking real nice (not saying you'll straighten every ding out for that price, but you can get it re-painted and looking alot nicer than mine was when i bought it). As for the seat, thats a non issue to me b/c for $375 I had mine totally re-foamed and upholstered (and that includes a middle seat), so thats really a minor issue for whoever buys it and an easy fix.

Paint color - well thats kinda lame. Mine was Aries blue originally and I wish whoever repainted it before me hadn't, bc thats a much nicer color than spraying the entire thing black IMO...and with color, its really a personal preference more than anything.

Everyone's entitled to an oppinion, and this forum here is to discuss oppinions. So.. even removing my relationship from the seller, I think this is a well priced 200tdi 90, and obviously others agree (look at the title of this thread lol)

That being said, you doing Pines next weekend?

If it doesn't sell I'm probably going to have the body and interior redone this winter, upgrade the wheels and tires and keep it as a Dailey driver. But if you have any questions let me know. I will also discount the price $1000 for any forum member.

I was talking about 110 import trucks vs. 90 imports.

I'm trying. I may have a little project ahead of me. I was on the highway over the weekend and there was a random spot of quite a bit of flooding on the road where the road bent. I tried avoiding it, and only my driver front tire hit it while I was going about 65 miles an hour - now the wheel/tire is wobbling, so I'll have to get in there and figure out what the issue is.
