defender model differences

I seem to remember having seen a thread with a link, but can't find it even with several search strings. Can anyone point me to the thread or the actual link which describes the (aesthetic/mechanical) differences between different Defender models?

Much obliged.

Nice. How about previous years? Looking for kind of a "how to tell which model Defender you have" kind of thing. '80s models versus the '90s models?

Telling signs include:
Engine (unless repowered)
Doors (split, lift up handles, pressed frames...)
Galvy trim/ painted trim
Color scheme
Stripes
Seats (fabrics, hard/soft backed front seats...)
For 110's drum v disc rear
AC in v under dash
Hinges

lots of stuff, just about everything but the vin will give clues to the period

Hard to pinpoint the date of manufacture by what parts are on it since most/many parts are largely interchangeable through the entire range from 1983 on to the present day. Ultimately it doesn't matter just find a truck that has all the stuff you want.
