Just for kicks, I changed out the old genuine LR MAF sensor for the new Britpart one that was recommended earlier in this thread as I already bought it.

Idle now is lower in the 500 range, much rougher and needs the gas to be pressed to keep it from dying and the CEL is now on. Does the new MAF need to "learn" or is this a defective one? Later today, I'll reinstall the LR MAF.

I had this issue. Turned out I had 2 bad IACV's (primary and spare)
Replaced it with a new one and it's all good...
Also check your distributor rotor.. recently seen one that had a hair line fracture allowing start then it died, and another at MAR which did the same thing (no start this time )
Check it even if you just replaced it, they are all crap now days (even new ones)

The 14cux has no learning capacity...
I'd return it, imho

Thanks. Prior to replacing the MAF sensor, the idle issue cropped up again. Just got another IACV and will replace it as well. This time I got the AC Delco part. Prior part was some no name brand from Pep Boys.
