defender and series diffrences?

Hey guys I'm doing a conversion soon and need to know if y'all have or known someone who has done a conversion on a series using defender parts as an example putting a defender bed on a series iia or making a 2 door series iia into a four door like a 130 using only defender parts!!!I looked up the Demension's and a series iia is {5ft & 4 in} a defender is {5ft & 5 in} but i don"t know about the roof?...Are they the same?i will really appreciate any info...

Look at images.
Spot the differences.

That really helps him out a lot! Did you read the first question in his thread, or were you too busy thinking of a catchy slam for him??

He's asking if anyone on the forum has a conversion or knows someone who has one?? Sounds like a great question for a forum this size and specific to LR's!! The question on the dimensions was merely secondary...

Sorry I don't have one, but it sounds like a great build - especially a 130 style rig...I bet someone here has done similar work to what your thinking of...Good luck with the build!!

To be fair he didn't really ask a question, just spewed one very long run-on sentence...

He's also the same guy who was taking a huge shit in someone else's FS thread, so it's not like he's tried to make any friends.

To answer his question, yes, it's been done.

Sounds good. Didn't know there was a bit of history Its just so often on the forums, people get jumped on too soon for some of the questions they ask...I probably shouldn't have jumped in so soon myself

There are enough differences that it is not a straight swap. Look at my project thread. That may give you some idea of what it takes.

If you want a Defender... Buy one.

As Bill has mentioned, it's not a direct swap.

He probably wants to buy a cheap series and resell it as a defender judging from his prior posts where he states he is getting into the business of selling Rovers but then claims he is just helping rebuild them. But what ever.

110 & 109 body parts swap.
88 & 90 rear bodywork doesn't, rear wheels are in totally different places.
