Defender 90 alternator

Hello Group,
1989 Defender 90 turbo diesel N/A,engine 19J.alternator not charging.Received a replacement alternator fron vendor,Part#RTC5680E which is a 65 amp unit whereas the old one is a 45 amp.Old alternator wiring has the classic Lucas style 3 wire(2 large brown and a smaller guage brown/yellow female spade connectors.).I know that the brown wires are constant 12v and the brown/yellow is the key on exciter wire.Replacement alternator has 2 electrical mounting studs, one large and one small.I believe that if I connect the 2 large brown wires to the large stud and the smaller brown/yellow wire to the smaller stud,it should work.Physical mountings appear to be the same, just have to check the pulley fit.
What say Ye?
Ted

Yes, that is correct. It should work fine.

Thank you and it did work perfectly. Also,I did a voltage drop test on the brown/yellow wire and had an intermittent 3.5 volts with key on.Found loose plug at instrument cluster.
