Dead Pedal and wider brake pedal

So I have a 1995 but it's now got an LS motor with an auto trans. On my previous '97, the deal pedal bent down and inwards over time. Is there an aftermarket dead pedal that would work? Or is there an easy way to acquire a stock one and reinforce it?

Similar question, I see RN has the brake pedal pad. Given a sufficiently skilled welder is there any reason I couldn't weld onto my 3 pedal brake pedal and get the wider pedal like my '97 had?

Thanks guys!!!
Amit

I think your best option is to ask Nick very nice if he'd draw a conversion pedal up that bolts onto the existing and takes the wider pad, maybe he'd also do a HD dead pedal too... Would be nice finishing parts for his kit.... Not that he's already busy enough

I just did this job. It requires almost no skill as a welder!
I just welded the wider brake pedal over the older skinny brake pedal. I lost less than 1/2" of *leg room* but as I'm just under 6' tall it is fine.
I could've spent 5 more minutes and cut off the skinny pedal completely with a grinder but why waste time??

As for the dead pedal, you're just 'sposed to rest your foot there, not mash it through the floor!?

Andy, I need the body control module. I don't have reverse lights. He said 2-3 months and it will still pass TX inspection. Once I have the BCM I'll ask nicely for the next thing.

I also just put a dead pedal into my formerly manual trans D90.

The rivnuts for the dead pedal require you to do the 2 spanner method because of limited space.
