Angry Dashboard replacemant !?

The Original dash on my D90 is just abaut to bite the dust....
The instrument cluster is loose and i'm worried it'll end up in my lap
next time I'm mudslinging.
Are there replacement's out there, do I call a LR Dealership !?
What are my options here !?... IT is way beyond repair.
I would need the whole thing replaced....any ideas ????
Thanks

PS: I also just got my surrey top and took my windows out.
I live here in Florida w alot of afternoon storms, most days...
I use a Plastic trashbag to keep the rain from leaking into my
dash ( when parked )...it works but looks really tacky !!!!
Any good Ideas on how to keep the rain out would be great
also what are the snaps for on the dash top !?
Thanks a bunch

I used to use a tunno cover, it snaps to the dash. Basicly it is a cover that goes from front to back of the 90. The drives seat zips open so you can drive with the top on, works great if you like driving with the top off.

As far as the dash, mine curently has no screws holding the instrument cluster on, been pulling it on and off so much I just left them out, even on the trail a few times and it has never come off unless I pull it off. I also leave the top off in the rain, no problems with water other then the oor chime thing no longer works, but thats good because I leave my doors off all the time anyway.

I'll dig around and see if I can find a pic of the tunno cover for ya.

Not sure on any replacements though other then stock. I would call ROvers Down South first before going to the stealership.

I do see them on e-bay from time to time if you just need the main dash face (the piece with all the gauges on it), unfortunately none there today. It would be a rare find in junkyards, but maybe give car cannibal a call, since all they do is wrecked land rovers. I think Rovers Down South was advertising new pieces as well.

LOL it may seem silly, but can I get the old one? I need a template for making a custom dash for my own.

I've found Duct Tape works great for sealing just about anything in the D. Just slap a little on the dash and your good to go. It comes in black too, so it "Blends right in".

Sad part, I'm not joking.

I just sold a tonneau top - several are posted in the for sale area.
I used a tarp over either the whole top or drivers cabin. $15 from the hardware store + a few bungies I cut to size at the store. My rain issue was arround the windows and the rear door. Rear door I put window foam insulation on the metal piece attached the the rear plastic window. Comes/rubs off ever so often but at $6 no big.
The front doors an issue and I do not yet have the money for the Badger gutter sytem so a plastic tarp it is. I basically fold one over and cover the top of the wind screen, the roll bar behind the seats and then down the sides to below the windows (my windows are out).
PS - this was the 2nd most rain seen here in S CA at like 34 inches and I got maybe a foot total in the D90.
God I love my D90

I think they are the same, no mods needed if you use the same gauges.

Same here, I believe the physical dash itself is the same. UK trucks are different though... the parts will fit, but the speedometer will be all the way on the left.

I have just replaced mine due to fire loss and it wasn't awfully expensive. All the plastic parts camr out to only about $300 from the dealer. You better hurry because they are getting hard to find.

I would think it would fit, as the body/chassis/firewall would all be the same. Just a matter of stripping out all the old and starting from scratch.

But then again, I could be completely wrong!

You'd be surprised how many minor differences there can be - and there are big ones like blanked-out vents etc. Plus I'm guessing that not everything needed to make that fancy dash work actually resides in the dash - there's going to be a different heater box and some entirely different stuff in the engine bay.

Since were just guessing here, I bet its a bulkhead-replacement job, or at least heavy modifications.

Pretty similar, but I see changes for sure. Tunnel is different, vents look like the hinges are changed, there is the strange thingy at the passengers interior vent... but most the other stuff looks just about the same (other than RHD). I feel sort of geeky looking at the picture of the bulkhood and sort of swooning...it looks so clean and nice...

I think that you will find there are no vent panels, they are fixed not hinged.
