Barry,

I just figured out that you don't need to cut anything on any bulbs. You have a soft top, right? If you do then ignore everything I've said about cutting wires. The only bulbs that need trimmed leads are the 3 dash lights for rear window defroster, wiper fluid, etc on a SW. The reason for that is that the bulb connector for these buttons have + on top and - on bottom (see pic 1). All other Wedge style bulb holders have + on left and - on right. If you insert the 74G bulb as is in this connector it will short and look like pic 2. So no need to worry about any of this unless you have a hardtop. The 74G-HP is a really nice and bright bulb. It looks more green in real life than it does in pic 4 which does not do it justice.

It doesn't look like the bushman ever cuts a wire down

Which bulbs will I need for the SW rear window switches? Which bulbs for the clock/emergency flashers cluster?

74G-HP for rear window switches. Just make sure there is only one wire on each side. When you buy them the wires wrap around the other side and that will short if you don't cut them. Look into the bulb holder and you'll see what I mean. I'd have to look up bulb types for the others. Should be listed in a different thread here.

Here is what I ordered for my 97 ST D90-

Exterior:
count / location / part # / comments

2 Front Parking & Signal, Amber 67-A9
2 Front side marker, Amber WLED-A6
2 Rear side marker, Red WLED-R6
2 Tail/brake, 1157-R24 wide
4 Front and Rear Signal, 1156-A24 wide
1 Back up (reverse), 1156-W24 wide
2 License Plate, White BA9S-W4-12V
1 Flasher Relay for LED, CF13GL-02 (this goes in the dash fuse panel. There is an ECR link earlier in this chain)
2 Load Resistors RL-650 (I needed one for each front blinker, connected in line right behind the bulb socket)

Interior:
count / location / part # / comments
2 Fuel & Temp, WLED-G6
3 Tach and heater and blower lights, 74-GHP3
2 Speedo, B8.5D-G (see photo)
1 Dome light, 1156-cw18-t
I didnt change out the clock bulb

The LED make a huge difference on the interior lights. I now have to turn mine down in brightness. Not that big of a change to the exterior lights.
So I finally got around to upgrading the Dash lights with LEDs. I have a 94ST and followed Reece's part list above to the T.
I ordered from Superbrightleds at 11pm on Sunday and received them on Wednesday. At 40 bucks it was well worth the money.
I went from this:

Does anyone know what LEDs are needed for the clock and the automatic gear shift surround for a 97 D90 SW?

Clock is a BA7 base and the gearshift surround is wedge base. 95% sure on that anyway.

Okay, maybe someone could help me out too? I also have a '95 D90 that could use some brightness (LED bulbs) for the dash lights.
I went to superbrightleds.com and typed year/make/model into the search but there wasn't much that came up for the interior bulbs. So, is my next step to physically check the bulbs for part numbers or does someone have info that I will need to order bulbs handy?
I guess, digging for the info myself is part of the fun but, since I already typed all of this out........

LED Upgrade for a 94 d90

I just replaced the bulbs in mine with LED's from the list Reese_D90 & SimpleJack posted above. The only ones that weren't listed and found somewhere here was the clock which Bill posted as the BA7 & also the cigarette lighter which was just another WLED-X6. I tried replacing the 2 bulbs for the hazard lights but they kept popping the fuse. Still checking into that, since the original fluorescent turn signals and no telling what else are still connected & taped up underneath the front number. Got em all from superbriteleds but called em since the their cross-reference tool wasn't all that great. But those LED's listed above were good for my 94d90.

I would think so since the list from Reese_D90 was for a 97 & SimpleJack has a 94d90. As far as the bulbs once I started pulling em out they were all very similar "grain of wheat" bulbs. I did have a few that didn't work but like everyone else said, flip em around for polarity's sake & they worked just fine
