dash bulbs

I need a couple of bulbs, maybe you can help.
The bulbs are for a 97 Defender SW.
They are both dash bulbs. I need one or two that lights behind the speedometer, and one green bulb that lights behind the heater fan control on the right hand side of the steering wheel.
I canít seem to be able to find these anywhere.

Any help or suggestions?

Anyone know a source for these bulbs in OEM green? or an LED replacement?

Thanks!

I highly suggest switching all the stock gauges to VDO before you convert them to LED. Once you upgrade to LEDs you are going to realize how crappy the stock gauges are at transmitting the light. They reflect the light very poorly even if it is well lit. The VDO gauges light up like modern gauges where the needle is also lit.

There two bulb types needed for the VDOs. I can list those here if there I'd interest.

Trust me I know. I upgraded my Temp gauge since I was having issues and am annoyed at the different intensity.

So when you do the upgrade, what about the Speedo? Are you running up the milage?

Back on topic...I ordered the bulbs from Rovers North. Something like $1.30 per.

Depends on the LED bulb you get. Did you get high powered LEDs?

???

On the speedo, I was referring to the odometer.

Doesn't matter. Just saying that there is a big difference in light intensity between standard and high powered LEDs. If you have high powdered ones I can understand that they would be too bright. Standard ones shouldn't be.

Roger.

When I replaced the Temp gauge, I stayed with the standard (Non-LED) bulb). Since I went to the VDO vision series, the light through-put is much better than the standard gauges. I wonder if the high intensity LEDs would even out?
