D90tops.com Install Help

Guys,

Anyone have the install instructions on one of the NAS D90tops.com fiberglass tops. I imagine I can figure it out without, but it would save time if someone can help me out. I mainly need a parts listing so I know I have everything I need before I am halfway in.

Thanks

Did you finally grab Huibae's Arles-ish one for $2200 or so? Great tops!

All the hardware should be present as it was complete and previously installed. A small socket set would be a plus. I believe most of the bolts were metric 10. But then I only have experience with the oem FG tops.

No not that one. I got a new one still in the shipping container from TN. I want to find the install instructions so I can have all my parts organized prior to the install.

Hot damn! Wow! KEEP THE CRATE/CONTAINER!!! You could loan it out to people when these things ship or RURR.

For $4k, the instructions should be there, but it's not hard. Remove your visors and three piece upper windshield trim first. Then, bolt the side panels down loosely. This is where the small socket comes in handy, but a needle nose vise grip will fit under and into the tub capping nicely if you haven't got any rivnuts in place. Next, attach the rear corners. With a friend, place the top on. Once alignment is good, not forced, start bolting the sides and corners more securely followed by the top. The lift gate is last. I apply a black silicone to the top's forward bolts (to the header bar) to prevent leaks. It's pretty self explanatory. Don't rush it/force anything and you'll be good!

Pleasure! Good luck! I'm so jealous ;-)

Post a pic or do a wip pictorial/write up and people could reference it. It makes a nice contribution to the forum.

I figured it to be identical, just much better made! That's a great suggestion if it's in the facts section. It'll be much more in depth than my memory. I didn't even know it was there. I guess I never leave the forum as the app won't allow it.

Yes I own the RockWare rig, Matt cut her loose to me about a year and a half ago. I think he just got sick of putting my 86 ROW 90 back together and let me take his home

Even though I was driving this time we still kept the tradition going and took this 90 up Holy Cross on the 4th of July this year!

I'll pm you when I've got a date trying to shoot for either in between MAR and URE or right after URE. Just depends on work travel.
