D90 Tranny Problem

Well think my tranny on my 1994 D90 is going out...1st and reverse are a nightmare to get in gear so been driving in 2nd and 4th mainly...had new clutch about 5k miles ago and slave cylinder replaced a couple months ago. Mechanic said the sycronizers are off/bad so new tranny or rebuild is probably the only option. Anybody know a good place to find a rebuilt/new R380 tranny?? thanks!

I lost 1st & reverse on mine. was a sudden thing on highway...... luckily found a used replacement with 60K miles on it. Getting it rebuild or buying a rebuild tends to run $2,500+ from what I remember.....

Roadside Rob is the best. You are looking at a couple grand plus. Ashcroft is a bit less Money.

If it were mine, I would rebuild it myself. They are not that bad to do.

Thanks for responding mine has been a gradual going out but going to have to replace none the less....what did the used one run ya if you don't mind me acting. Trying to decide if I should rebuild or replace with used or new one. Guess cost is going to be a factor for sure!

I think paid $500. Very clean tranny. Put a wtb on forum, be surprised who's sitting on them.
Buddy on forum helped me to swap. That was a pain.
