D90 squeak over bumps. Front driver suspension?

I have a squeaking noise that sounds when I go over a bump on road. It doesn't always happen but recently has started to happen a lot. It's driving me crazy trying to identify what it is. It sounds like a suspension but I'm a layman mechanic. I open my window and listen as I'm driving. Is something in need of oil.

Welcome any thoughts. Definitely want to diagnose the issue and correct it. Appreciate any thoughts in advance.

Thanks

It could be the rubber bushings on the shock absorbers. They dry out and begin sequeeking. Replacement is the only fix. Mine was suffering with this annoying sequeeking and stopped when I replaced the shocks.

Great. Thank you. Any rough idea of cost to replace?

The parts are nothing. Bushings for the shocks are probably 20-30 bucks but guessing by the layman mechanic comment you're taking it to a shop which would be the biggest cost. For me, pulling the front shocks is one of the bigger pain in the ass jobs i hate doing. Before you dive in, have someone jump on the bumper while it's parked and see if you can trace the noise while you're underneath. If you find it, spray with WD40 and see if that stops it for 10 seconds. Least then you'll know for sure what you have to change.

Check the hood hinges... If it's the culprit, shake the hood with your hands in every direction and you should hear it chirping.

if you have sway bars, check the links. they have a ball joint which dries and thus squeak . they should be nice and tight with out play and clean dust boots in one piece
