D90 Genuine winch tray question

I have a customer who recently purchased a 97 D90 auto. He is interested in fitting a winch and bumper, but wants only the Genuine piece fitted, I presume, by the dealers.
Was this originally manufactured by Warn for Land Rover? Are they still available, like the product offered by Lucky 8 or Rovers North?
Does anybody have a used one they'd like to part with?
Thanks!
Trevor

The only thing available for 1997s was the full bumper with the winch mount. I am told they were made by warn, but I cannot confirm. I believe they are still available. I have a used one, but it would not be up to your customer's standards condition wise.

I would recommend your customer look at the mantec sold by RN or the warn bumper that fits the 8274. Both look very factory.

I have been looking for a long time. I wonder if yours might be what I need. What is wrong with it?

So, will an XD9000i fit in the Warn bumper? Or do I have to go non-integrated?

I think it will work, but call Warn first.

Confirmed by LRNA last time I had the truck in the dealer bodyshop. Only available used.

I say get the Mantec if your customer wants a similar look.

I have a brand new adapter plate that will allow you to bolt up a warn with the factory bumper if anyones interested. I believe it was the one rovers north was selling way back when.

Hi Trevor,

The original XD9000I Land Rover Defender bumper was p/n STC 8818. I work for WARN and Land Rover has not ordered one of these since 2003, so I'm sure discontinued in their system. The XD9000I in this kit had a special Land Rover ID decal and the wire rope with saefety hook. Other then that it is exacly like the standard XD9I.

This bumper has been replaced by a new WARN bumper that will fit any of the low profile winches, M-6000 to 9.5TI. You can buy this same bumper in the after market under p/n 69465. Or from Land Rover under p/n DPB501050. This bumper will fit both air-con and non air-con vehicles. This link to the WARN catalog on our web page shows a picture, that is me pulling cable. http://www.warn.com/corporate/images..._App_Guide.pdf

This may be an option if the customer wants new, and to stick with an original part.

Steve
