D90 body

Hi,

Sorry if this is a stupid question as already own a IIA that's all aluminium....

Just shipping an ex-MOD LHD 1986 90 from the UK to the US and wondered whether this was also all aluminium....

I'll know soon enough.

Also does anyone know a good paint shop in LA?

Many thanks.

Donald

No such thing as a stupid question - the 90 is the same mix of steel and alloy as the Series.

Cheers!

Paul

Call Eddie @ West Coast Rovers(949-768-3777) for good paint shops. Some paint shops don't know how to prep/deal with the different types of metal.

Call Autobahn in the South Bay. I believe the dealer uses them. They deal with a lot of Rovers.

Don,
Take the time to remove the door panels, door latches, wheel arches, headlight surrounds, etc. The more you prep it, the less overspray and cleaner the paint job looks. These are easy things to remove. You may also want to take off the front roll cage and send that out for black powder coat along with the tire carrier and bumpers. (That will only set you back less than $400 - Olympic coatings in Escondido) and the thing will look like new.
