Ad states Roanoke which is up in metroplex if I'm not mistaken. Make sure it's really in Austin!

I was hoping you'd go Carmen - I was going to ask you to pick me up some Babe's fried chicken. Can't find good fried chicken here in Austin...

I don't know of any good chicken joints either...but to be honest my favorite fried chicken is the kind I make. Babe's must be pretty good if you were hoping for an are-you-are-are RURR. I was thinking about donating my unicorn to Overlander for his coveted RN mug though...

Definitely good. It's the only dish they sell there. Always a line, too.

Have you ever tried Lucy's on South Congress near Oltorf? Also a new location on Burnet near North Loop.

There's a Gus's BBQ in downtown Austin but I haven't tried it yet. It's a chain from Memphis that I have heard good things about.

Have you been to Threadgill's? I like to go there for my southern comfort food fix.. never tried their fried chicken though. They have a Sunday bluegrass (N. Lamar) and gospel brunch (W. Riverside) Two of my favorite things.. good food and live music.

FWIW, Land Rover didn't start using the name 'Defender' until 1990. when they did, it had the 200Tdi until 1994 (I think). So I am not sure about all of it being a 1987...

Hope it works out either way!

What kind of 110 are you looking for? I have one with a 200 tdi and new bulkhead that I am slowly looking to get rid of. As of today I have 3 rovers, and a one car garage...

Second on Lucy's Fried Chicken. Two locations. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had.

Went to Lucy's on the south side on Monday. Good chicken, I'll be going back. I can't compare to Babe's, as I haven't been there in years.
