D 90 Speedo Digital MPH

I want to replace my dead 98 speedo with a compatable mph. Spoke to George at RDS and he did not have a solution. What do you sugest? The current speedo has a digital odoeter read out and an analog KPH readout. I don't need to have oem, just something that works. Thanks

Langdon

Try these guys:
http://www.croytec.co.uk/

I bought a MPH speedo from them.
They have new and used in stock.
The owner is very helpful.

I'm not a fan of digital gauges in a car. I much prefer analog as once I get used to their normal operating needle position I don't have to "look" at them to see if something is out of the normal range. A speedometer isn't quite so subject to that however.

You could see if ECR can fix your dead speedo...

The ECR ROX solution to this problem:
We now offer a mail order repair service of your speedo/odometer assembly. Send us your speedo and in just a short time we will repair it and send it back to you. This repair means that you get all the benefits of a new speedometer without any of the down side. We retain your original miles. We retain your original date coded housing and you get a clear and correct display that is as good as new. Well, actually better, because we fix the fold problem to make sure that the issue will not come back.

VDO is a nice way to go, but you can also just swap in a MPH speedo from Rover. Can't recall the part # but they interchange, unlug the KPH one and plug in a new MPH one.
That or I can install a MPH face on your KPH unit.

Not sure if our fix will work on a KPH speedo... never tried to fix anything but NAS units.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.

X2. ECR did mine, works perfect, and was turned around very quickly.

The nice thing about the VDO is that they are programmable, so you can have them read correctly regardless of any gear or tire changes. The stock ones are made by VDO anyway.
