There are two VERY good rover shops just east of New Haven. In my opinion, it'd definitely be worth your trip.

1) Hollands Garage in Guilford exclusively does rovers. Mike Holland does all the work himself, works on rovers about 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, and has been doing it for many years. He has seen it all, and is very very meticulous. He is rough around the edges but a damn good mechanic. There is about 20 rovers at his shop at any given time. Drives a d90.

2) Madison Motors in Madison. Just opened up by a former land rover master tech Lars Vigen. Real nice guy, great mechanic, and currently building a pretty serious d-90 off road rig from the ground up. Very into off roading, and knows a lot about mods and equipment.

Both of these guys really love and know d90s, and do all there own work. tell them i sent you. pm me if you want to chat. good luck.

guys, thanks for the information. Looks like I will be visiting classic 4x4's.

Joe don't take it personally, it's just easier when they are that close.

Steve I will PM you.

Dawson @ Rover Shoppe knows is rovers and is a straight shooter. I would recommend them; it's good to see a greater NY area presence around here. I see a decent amount of d90s out and about during the summer. I am in Stamford.
