D-90 Alpine White Re-Paint

I am having my 1995 D-90 (Alpine White) repainted. Does anyone know if the factory paint would be considered a Flat, Eggshell or Glossy on a Gloss Level? I know the bumpers were a nylon coating and I am probably going to have those and the roll bar powdercoated for more strength and durability. Thanks for any information. I have the Paint codes but am just unclear on how glossy it should be.

Not a paint expert but it depends upon what paint you are using and what type of Hardener you use. I use an enamel with a wet look hardener. Some of the other guys here have used a little better paint than that. Contact the Auto Paint store and they can look up the replacement paint for the NAS trucks.

I never knew that auto paint had any level of gloss short of "full gloss". There are different levels of polish, but that is usually an indication of the quality of the paintjob, not the gloss level of the finish itself.

The gloss or lack of it is also controlled by the clear coat finish.

The factory Alpine White is a single stage paint (i.e. - no clear coat).
