Custom fuel lines?

As some of you know I am building a D90 from bits and now I am down to the fuel lines. I have a set that came out of an '87 range rover and I am thinking I can adapt these to fit; saving myself the $460.53 plus shipping for new lines. Besides being a bit long in the front which I can take care of, they have only rubber fuel hose in the back for connections which do not mate to the screw type fittings on the 90 pump. I have seen some threads on custom oil cooler and fuel lines and I live in Houston, oil and fuel capital of the US, so I'm sure I could find someone to make the connections from the pipes to the fittings on the D90 fuel pump, but what kind of shop would this be? A hydraulic shop? I was thinking about getting some stainless braided sections put on to the old pipes to make them work. Any advice would be appreciated.

Keith

Follow-up Post:

OK so after reading a few of the old oil cooler threads I broke out the Summit Racing catalog and dusted it off. Any idea on the nomenclature/size (AN) of the fittings on the fuel pump hoses?

I seem to recall they were a british pipe thread of some kind, not easy to match. I took the lines off at the pump, cut off the acorns, and attached new lines to the fuel pump. I used Swagelok parts, I think you'll want to use something else from Summit etc.

lines

maybe I could cut the lines back and then just use hardward to feed the lines to the ss or straight to the pipes.
