Probably this one

http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DEFE..._WA159806.html

I recently put one of these on a NAS that didn't need extension but they are not identical to a NAS so don't even consider it.

http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DEFE..._WA159806.html

You'll see some of the tabs differ, and I had to remove the inner bracing to clear the tank as well as a couple of other small mods I don't recall now.

Are you kidding, Barry? Are you seriously contemplating replacing that crossmember? That thing looks almost new. You give Horsey hell for his rhinolining. Just wait until we see your welded-on replacement crossmember. lol.

I was planning to carpet my new crossmember. I am not replacing it. I am going to do the eastwood fix first but if I was going to do it I would have it done right so it looks factory which of course I assume means welded with rhinolining

Carpet is nice, but nothing beats a nice damask.

I have decided to let my dealer do the repairs. They haven't seen a defender in years so I am sure it wil come out well.

Get the crossmember, and when I make my road trip I'll put it on for you and many, many cold beverages. Not Coors light either.

Cheap beer will result in me welding it on upside down just to be a prick....

You are seriously thinking about fixing that? Grind it down and weld a bead across it, then grind that down to look factory and then paint it.

I'm not going out there to do that. I'm just feeding his OCD problem....

His truck is fine, I believe he thinks it's going to melt in a year if it's not fixed.
