What's the consensus on oil pan gaskets? Have you guys had success using only Right Stuff (sans gasket) or dressing the gasket with right stuff? Which Right stuff?

Also this video shows them using "assembly compound" where the caps mate with the crank but no one mentioned that in this thread. Am I missing something?

I use Right stuff every time (no gasket). Works great.

I smear a small amount on both surfaces, let that get a bit tacky, then a thin bead all the way around to install.
