Crazy throttle cable

Sorry for absolutely harassing the technical help section here. I'm trying to sort this beast out. -- So when I got my 90 the throttle cable came crazy Jerry-rigged. I've attached photos. Can anyone shoot a photo showing me where this thing is supposed to be mounted?

Thanks!

that's where its supposed to be the plastic end on the cable is more likely damaged so they rigged it to work..to fix it the right way you need a new cable ....that whole spring thing is just scary ! i'm sure you got something else going on with that engine i'm thinking a vac leak causing a high idle so there trying to force the throttle blade closed or the return spring on the throttle shaft is damaged which i have never seen unless someone messed with it ....when you get the cable contact me ill walk ya through the diagnosis and set up

The throttle cable and its fix appear to be fine. I would leave it that way.
