crankshaft pulley Puller

What type of puller works best for the 3.9, while the engine is in the truck? jaw type or bolt type?

You shouldn't need one. Just remove the big bolt in the center of the pulley and it should slide right off. You may need an impact wrench to break the bolt loose though. I believe the torque spec on that bolt is about 300 ft-lbs.
