cracked brake booster: interchange?

First of all, I'm at a loss as to how my brake booster could have cracked, but it is (near where the master cylindar mounts). So, I've either got to take it off and weld it, or find a replacement.

Is this the same booster as that on a similar vintage Discovery or Range Rover? If so I might be able to find one fairly easily/cheap. Otherwise I think I'll weld it..

Thanks..

Defender Boosters are not the same as Disco1 or RRC (that I've seen). Vacuum Boosters on D's are single diaphram whereas D1's and non abs RRC's are dual diaphram. The space required under the hood made this a requisite (duals = smaller diameter)

You need one off a D-90.

Thanks for the info guys. Looks like it's time to break out the welder.

FYI, I tried welding the thing, and it's really thin metal & there were several stress fractures around where the master cylinder mounts. In the end the welding didn't fix anything, so I smothered the cracks in JB Weld (which is holding for now) and ordered a new one. Dealer item only, so I got one from George at RDS.
I'm still a bit baffled how that could become fractured - I've never seen that before.
