Costco Now Selling Interstate Batteries

Longer than I can remember I have been using Costco batteries in my family/kids vehicles, diesel and V8 Rovers. Went to get my battery replaced today and learned they now only feature Interstate. Maybe they've always been Interstate and just stopped branding them as Kirkland. Anyhow they swapped mine with no question as usual because it was under 42 months old. Great product service. Now sold in the tire center instead of next to the #10 cans of mayo.

Everyone here at RN and our old shop tech's customers run Interstate. They seem to be very solid

I really haven't had any battery bad luck. I don't know if I buy into the hype. Only arguably bad thing I ever got was a walmart 3 year battery. Put it in my last rover and immediately removed the engine/transmission and rebuilt the whole thing and painted it, etc. It was down for about 90 days. Battery went tango uniform. Of course.. It was a free replacement.
THat being said.. In my boat I use higher end batteries, and carry a Lithium jump box.

Interstate is a good battery. My only complaint is that every single one I've ever seen leaks around the posts and corrodes very fast. It doesn't seem to hurt much. I wouldn't put one in a defender, miata, bmw, air cooled vw, or any other vehicle that has a battery in a place I didn't want to risk a leak.

Good point... Most of my vehicles have had battery trays and most of the old ones were rotten.
I was thinking of trying my first optima (or two) in this rover to avoid future sheet metal repair.
