Connecting an obd reader on a 94 NAS D90

Got a innova 3120 OBD 1 and 2 reader on sale today. I took apart the footwell in my 1994 NAS D90 to get to the ECU, but I can't sen to see a place where the reader would plug into. Anyone have some pictures of what I should be looking for ?

Am I missing something ?

Did I buy the wrong thing ?

I would like to leave the reader connected and mount it in my (custom built) cubby box, can I do this ? I can have a bunch of serial cables (old terminal stuff from long ago) so that is not a problem...

Are you trying to tune? Or do you just want to read trouble codes? You don't need a code reader at all for that. It has a built in display.

Hi and thank you.

I have the LED reader, but it shows no codes on it. I do want to revive the Service Engine light and I want to have my own reader for expedition maintenance operations and to be self-reliant. Maybe tuning could be interesting, if I can I will surely look into it. There is software and I can probably use it with the on-board personal computer / laptop I installed on an extension arm (built from 3/4 galvanized gas pipes) on my cubby box.

Read this thread: http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...ht=code+reader

You don't need any external device to properly reset and read codes on the 14CUX.

The service engine light is a mileage thing and can easily be reset from behind the gauge cluster. If you have a fault code, you'll see an amber light that says "check engine" on it. That's when the two digit code will be displayed on the diagnostic display.

EDIT: And here is a list of all the fault codes. Print it out and put it in with your owner manual or something. That's all you'll need. http://www.robisonservice.com/servic...ouble.asp#1990

Is the ECU/fault codes the same for a 93 NAS D110?
