Confused about oil pressure sender. VDO replacement

Read the forum. Did the search.
Ordered VDO oil pressure 350-104 0-80 psi

Ordered sender 360 -009 1/8" NPT with warning light contact.

So far so good.

Got the adaptor 5 o ring to 1/8" NPT so I was ready.

Removed existing sender and no way was it 5-O ring. Appears to be 1/8" NPT !!! astonished look!

This is a 1985 110 originally gas now with 300tdi. Could the filte housing be off old engine thus different threading?
Is this really 1/8" NPT? Threads in nicely but could BPT be ral close?

Help please

Thanks

I thought the 5 o-ring was for a V8. Are you sure you do not have the engines mixed up? Yes, 1.8" NPT and BSP are quite close...and also very close to 10mmx1....

OK, did a quick check. They are M10x1.

I think the 5 o ring to 1/8" NPT was for 3.5 and 3.9 engines. I bought one too and have yet to put it in but after research the hell out of it I think that 5 o ring to 1/8" NPT was for the V8 engines.

Yikes!

Did I mess up?! The 1/8 npt went in fine. Now what? Do I need to retag before I use m1.0 x 10 adaptor?

Dangnabit this is frustrating
