Question Code 48: Base Idle Speed?

Already searched everyhting about Code 48...I know it means replacing the stepper motor. I put in a new one 2 weeks ago, code went away. Since then, I took off the plenum, did some work in there and now the code is back. I keep trying to reset the code, but it keeps coming back on. I noticed there was a thing in FAQ about setting Base Idle Speed.

The manual gives steps for setting Base Idle Speed. Anybody ever do this? Should I attempt it by drilling out the tamper plug on the plenum and follow the steps in the book? After warming up the engine I'm idling at about 750 RPM. The setting (without throttle cable) should be 525 +/- 25 RPM, right?

Just confused......

Do the procedure. The cap should pop out no drilling. If you are anal you can buy a new plug at the dealer.

Actually, it might also be the vehicle speed sensor which is another input for the Idle Stepper motor.
