Clutch Slave Master Fluid Mystery

Alright. I need some feedback from you guys who are much wiser than me. Few weeks ago I noticed a ton of fluid on the floor of my garage. In an attempt to see what it was I started to refill everything. Nothing looked low. Friday my clutch all the sudden dropped a ton and I started guessing that is where the fluid came from. Took it in to a shop Monday and they said everything looked good in the slave and master and they could see now weeping/leaking. They kept it overnight to even double check and still none of the indicators that the cylinders were bad came up. I then remembered when I went to replace my clutch fluid the cap for my clutch was worn and cracked. If pressure in a hydro system is important then could a bad cap cause a sporadic fluid leak/clutch to feel bad? I am not seeping fluid right now. When it looses fluid it dumps it quickly etc.

The shop checked the air and drained and refilled the lines and put me back on the road hoping to see if something else might be a culprit. It had been about 7 years since I had drained cleaned out the system by the way. I will look forward to your thoughts.

There is a rubber hose inline with the steel lines which connects to the slave cylinder below, this was a problem for me in the past...it is easier to spot this hose looking from under the D90 towards the top.

So was that hose burping intermitantly or was it simply leaking constantly?
