Clutch pedal sticks to floor, then starts popping up as the truck gets warmer.

I read all of the other Clutch issue threads.

Mine seems a bit different, when it is cold outside i get the problem, but when the truck gets warmer the pedal starts popping up.

Does this still seem like my MC or SC?

Thank you.

Is there any clutch fluid residue on the pedal arm inside of the cab? If so, it is time to replace the MC.

Start with the obvious: Is the spring broken or really weak?

I had this issue on my series and the spring was shot completely. I figured that out after I bought it a new MC.

I'll check the spring, that could be the culprit. How could I tell if it is "weak"?

Is it springy? Seriously it is pretty obvious if it is dead. On series trucks you can install the wrong spring (there are two ways springs mounted) and if you do it over stretches it and it does not last long.

ONce you take the spring off you will be able to see if the pedal moves up and down freely or if it is sticking because of a bad MC/SC or maybe because the joint where the pedal moves in the box is seized.

I had that problem this past fall, except I also has fluid on the pedal and floor. And yes it was the master cylinder. Had it replaced and have had no problems since.
