To clarify, Adam, Howard has an OM617 with the M-IP running with 7.5mm plungers and variable ALDA, so he is between 250 and 300 HP and the torque has to be well over 250 Ft Lbs (according to the builder of these custon IPs).
I am thinking a racing clutch will work, but we have no starting point for this 9.5" application.
Since the kit uses a custom flywheel, we could groove it like the heavy duty pressure plates.
I'll stop in at our local race shop and pick their brains later this week.
Clearly Howard's 300TDI HD clutch is slipping with this application.
We verified there is full engagement and hydraulics functioning adequately.
