Clock stopped working

The clock in my dad's 1997 D90 stopped working. He wanted me to search for a new one but, are there other things that we can check first?

Check fuse B1 (5 Amp) which also powers the radio memory and the interior light. If that is good then check power and ground at the clock. If all is good replace the clock.

Unlike mechanical clocks that can be serviced, electric clocks either work or they don't.

I dumped the stock clock years ago and fitted an 8 day aircraft mechanical clock. I guess I'm more of a machine vs appliance kind of guy.

Sure, it's a Sinn NaBo 56/8. Here it is with one of my Sinn Chronographs:

Here it is mounted in a Mud UK console with a Sinn Military Chronograph:

There are cheaper aircraft clocks out there. I went with Sinn because I have a connection to the company.

Very nice!

I was secretly expecting an Astrotech LC-20 Chronometer from one of your H3s!

Cheers

No way Sir,

I grew up on E Models, so I'm not too big on microwave ovens, honey buckets you don't have to line with a trash bag, and digital clocks on my Herks. That and I don't want to be sent to Leavenworth this close to my retirement.
