Clear "side lights"

I'm interested in changing out my side lights from amber to clear (94 ST NAS). I've seen Rovers with clear side and indicator lights but I have been unable to find them. Called Rovers North and they sent two clear lenses- but these are for earlier series Rovers with the rubber surrounds. It looks like the D90 lenses are glued to the housing so I was unable to use these. Does anyone know of a source for clear side light assemblies? I think these are on stock Defenders in the UK.

You can either cut or spice the wires and install a different base, or cut the orange off and use the clear lenses. That is what I did. I had extras, so I cut off the orange and carefully, removed the remaining orange lens, then replaced it with the clear lens. The screws hold it together, so there is no need to re-glue it.

I did that on all my rovers, looks much better imo.
If you search and look old threads you'll probably
find a part number.
The side lights of Rover 45 and 75 are the same and
cost 1/3 of the price of the LR part (local stealership).

ohhh.....I thought you were talking about the side marker! Here's what you want. This is what I have for the "front markers" at $10.65 each.

AHHH! That's it!!!! Sorry about that- the Brits call them "side lights"- they are white lenses on the front of series rovers- we call them parking lights. I'm new to "modern" Rover ownership so I've probably butchered the language!!! Thanks for the help- I'll put in an order to RDS.

Jamie, that's for the rear and front lamps. Do you have a part
number for the Td5 clear lens side repeater ?

I'm a lazy bastard, i should look for this myself ...

No probs... lazy is good!

They're XGB100310L (as used on the Td5/puma)... i've got them on my truck. genuine LR prices 22 each!!!

aftermarket, like from Britpart much cheaper.

Yep, those are the ones, LR price is pretty steep on these.
The trick is to buy same part but for Rover 45 or 75, i don't
remember which one, and you get them for 1/3 of the price.
I'll check today to see if i still have the box they came in so
i can find a Rover part number.

Trouble is, trying to find a dealer who still stocks Rover stuff! since they went bust, they've all but dried up.
