Cleaning Oil Breather Cap 2.5TD ETC7774

Can the breather cap (the one with two hoses connected) on a 2.5TD be cleaned? If so how should it be cleaned?

Hi Richard,
Yes it can be cleaned some caps have baffles or wire gauze inside, others just have an empty void that can get gummed up - remove it and leave to soak in diesel overnight agitate occasionally drain & dry it before refitting.

Same thing with the pipes if they are not new.
