Child seat?

I'm a new D-90 owner (bought a 94 last fall). I don't currently have rear seats, but would like to add them in order to take the wife and bambino around town. However, I'd prefer to add the seats that are inward facing so I don't lose my loadspace. Is this possible? Safe with carseat? Legal? Would appreciate your thoughts/suggestions!
John

Jump seats can be installed in your truck, but I wouldn't consider them safe for on-road driving, especially with a car seat. Look for an original rear bench. It folds up, with the back folding flat onto the seat and then the whole unit liftiing up vertically. You lose some cargo space, but it's the safer way to go for your children.

The bench comes up for sale here from time to time.

Bambino will be safer in a forward facing seat. No question. You can tumble the seat forward when not in use to regain your loadspace or just remove/reinstall the seat in seconds.

Thanks. Is there a specific bench to look for? Or part number? Appreciate the info.
