Hello, I am planning to install central locking on my 1983 110 SW but with so many different choices, I am not sure which to buy! Any advice please! Thanks

This is the current door locking mechanism:

Why not a simple deadlock approach?

I'm actually doing this project in Jan-Feb as well. While I have no interest in power windows, central lock is a little luxury I'm going to treat myself with.

I would do it if I could use a fob/key combo like a D2 key. I don't like the idea of a key fob and a key, so bulky.

I don't. I just got lucky and found that video coincidentally from a company where I grew up.

Deadlocks have to exist here.

Honestly, I'm a bit of a new guy when it comes to locks and landies, but what is the difference between cable type locks and plunger type locks. This is my current locking mechanism, what type would it be? Click image for larger version

this is the gateway drug to power windows.. Then it's a power sunroof. Then you wake up one day and find that you've bought yourself an ML350.
