Center Storage Tray

Remember way back when series truck were all we had? There was a traymade that went under the center seatbox lid. It was a hidden storage area.

Well need room for a 97' D90 auto. Would like to try the tray under the lid for extra 'lectronic gear storage space. But can not find a vendor that still stocks them. Bearmarch used to make them?

Any ideas for me. No time to fab this.

TIA

Jim,
My brother does custom sheet metal fabrication. If you call him & give him dimensions, I'm sure he could bend you up a box. www.cutsmetal.com

Jim:

If you find some one to make one I will buy one also. I have one in my series and tried to get one for the 90 but was unsuccessful.
Take care

I think Buck did something similar, but without the Series tray. He might be of some help.

Can you shoot a picture of your tray in the series so everyone understands what I am talking about? If I have some made, I'll gladly get an extra for you. I just have to think there are still some left in a parts suppliers old stock.

Some of you should want one to hide firearms under the cubby box. Outside the vehicle

Sure will. My series III lives in a different location but i can make a trip down and get a shot. It may take a couple of days to get it done. All mine is a a 4 or 5 inch deep box with a lip around the top that fits into the hole under my center seat. If memory serves it is maybe 12" x 16". It looks like it was an afterthought to fill an access point to the top of the transmission.

wise owl makes exact replicas out of ali. I have one laying around I might be willing to part with. I think I gave around 40 bucks for it and never used it on my project, came with a rubber liner
it's still brand new.

Ummmm, Jimmy ???

There's one under the Tuffy box in my 109. It's only held down by two screws as I recall.

I thought that was the case. And looked for it. Found it now that you inspired me to look again.
