CEL fix with fuel cell-- Thoughts?

Anyone have any slick ideas on how to trick the CEL on a 97 when theres a fuel cell plumbed in.. Basically there isnt a self venting gas cap for pressure, and the lines that go to the emmisions stuff is open.

So should i drill a hole in my tank, and drop the original poly vent line into it, would that work, or does it require i have a gas cap?

The fuel cell does have a vent on it, but it just vents to atmosphere all the time..
